Interview on the show “Ešus” on Radio 1: Ngomo, Iboga, and the Bwiti tradition in Gabon and Cameroon

On Monday, March 3, 2025,, I was a guest on Radio 1’s travel show “Ešus”.

I had a conversation with Uncle Míša about my seven journeys to Africa in search of the Iboga medicine and the spiritual Bwiti tradition which is practiced there.

At the beginning of the interview, you will hear a song featuring the African eight-string Bwiti harp called “Ngomo”.

The interview is in Czech, but you can turn on automatic English subtitles.

You’ll learn about the differences between Ayahuasca and Iboga, the distinctions between Gabon and Cameroon, and various interesting insights about what it’s like to be “adopted” by an African traditional Bwiti family.

More information about the Iboga medicine can be found at the website of project Kumacenge: Czech, English.

Online shop with herbs: Czech, English.
